We are monitoring the status of Hurricane Harvey closely and are receiving frequent updates from New Orleans officials. New Orleans, located at the southeast corner of Louisiana, has seen some rain but is not expected to flood. We encourage you to track the hurricane and stay updated via www.weather.com and www.nhc.noaa.gov. The city has provided the following statement:
“We don’t anticipate any flooding in the downtown area of New Orleans or in the Warehouse District near the Convention Center. Your commute to and from the airport will not be impacted. There is rain forecasted for August 29 and 30 with the weather moving northeast of us by Thursday. Our pump systems are working as expected. Our visitors should not fear risk of flooding.”
IFAI does not expect Expo 2017 to be impacted and we look forward to seeing all of you in a few weeks.
